Don’t be ashamed. You wouldn’t believe the number of people that I meet that have no idea what exactly a zombie walk is. My, personal summery of what a zombie walk is would be as followed:
It is a night (or day) of pure awesomeness where zombie lovers, Halloween fans, horror movie buffs, and those who just want to have a fun, unique time come out in force to descend on a location to simulate the impending zombie apocalypse. You get dressed in your most horrid best, put on your best zombie make-up and get to become a zombie. Along with the volumes of other people who enjoy this, you are set to walk a pre-designated area and enjoy the many, many frightened looks of those who have no idea what is going on that day.
Sounds like fun, yes? We here at C.C. tend to think it is one of the best events in the world. Normally, along with the zombie walk, we like to hold best in decay (aka best costume) contests, and look forwards to handing out a slew of zombies related materials. In our attempt to spread this plague even further, we look forwards to giving central Illinois zombies things to do all year round. This year our kick-off comes with Spring Thaw which is a pre-game zombie walk at the Peoria Chief’s stadium. The fee to enter the stadium will only be $5 for the zombies, which is a discounted price and is to be paid the day of the game. To hold this price, however, we need to make sure that all attendees are pre-regitered in advance.
This is all a part of Fright Night, which looks to be a lot of fun for zombies of all ages. We will meet up at 5:30pm and rally the hoard for a night of some freakish fun!
